Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This page describes the cookies and similar storage this website uses. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. For visitors in the United Kingdom, PECR sits alongside UK GDPR.
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand visits. You can delete or block cookies in your browser. If you block everything, parts of the site may stop behaving as expected.
The notice on the site
You may see a short cookie notice in the corner of the page. One button dismisses it. We store that choice locally in your browser so we do not keep asking. Clearing site data will bring the notice back.
What we use
- Strictly necessary. Cookies that keep a visit together, remember a basic choice (for example that you closed the notice), and help the site load. These do not require a separate opt-in under PECR.
- Analytics. An internal analytics system may set cookies or similar storage so we can see which pages are opened and whether the site is working. This is about the website, not about building a marketing profile of you.
- Clicks off this site. When you follow a link to a game publisher, a click tracking service may use cookies or a similar identifier so we know a link was used. That publisher then has its own cookies, which we do not control.
We also use an error reporting tool. It may process a technical snapshot if a page fails. That is to fix faults, not to advertise to you.
How long they last
Session cookies drop when you close the browser. Others last from a few days up to around 13 months, depending on the file. The cookie notice choice stays until you clear site data. Third-party sites you open from here set their own periods.
How to control them
Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Guides for common browsers are on the ICO site: ico.org.uk. You can also use a browser’s private mode, which usually drops cookies when the window closes.
